I make very large, colorful, oil on canvas paintings. My recent work, Schizophrenic Masculinity, deals with the contradictions, inconsistencies, fragility and conventions of black and Caribbean masculinity through portraiture. I generally put paint (or plastic, paper etc) physically onto the subject, take a few photographs and edit into several editions. I then use those as references for a series of paintings.
