Antwain Clarke (b.1993) is a self-taught artist based in Kingston, Jamaica. He specializes in detailed pencil drawings. His highly imaginative compositions are inspired by Jamaican folkore and Caribbean mythos that he uses to navigate themes such as science vs. religion, history and memory. He has developed a keen interest in story telling. The setting for his current body of work are in a mythical place called the Shady Breeze where he addresses intimate and public issues with human-animal hybrids and masked creatures.
